What is the Proliance Center?

Being in private practice is just like running any business. For myself, I am at my best when I can focus all of my energy on working with you to help you attain your goals. Worrying about billing structures, insurance requirements, and all the day-to-day work of keeping an office humming detracts from the focus I want to give you. I joined the wonderful team at Proliance Center because I know they excel at managing the business aspect, giving me the freedom to do my best work with you. Dr. Mike Morejon, MD, the founder of Proliance Center, has a sterling reputation built entirely on word of mouth. Should you need medication management in addition to talk therapy, having the continuity of care provided by a group practice is truly the ideal.

Will I have to take medication?

Medication can be extremely beneficial to helping people overcome some of their difficulties. However, this does not mean it is the right option for everyone. Very often, medication can be utilized in conjunction with therapy, to help reduce an individual’s symptoms so that they can focus on the work being done in therapy and regain a sense of control over their lives, and then they can build new skills that will allow them to discontinue the use of medication. For others, this integrative e approach may not be the best solution. I will work with you to help determine the best course of action that will allow you to achieve a greater sense of well-being both during and beyond your therapeutic experience with me.

How do we get started?

Contact me and lets start our conversation. A good fit is essential to a positive outcome and I am dedicated to helping people find the right therapist. Yes, even if it’s not me. In our first contact, I may ask why you are seeking therapy, what struggles you are facing or why you are seeking treatment now, all in order to determine if I am possibly the right therapist for you. If I don’t seem to be a good fit for you, I may refer you to another therapist that may be better suited to your unique situation and needs.

How often will I see you?

We will decide that together, depending on your needs and goals. Many people prefer to see me once a week through the majority of their treatment and then gradually move to every-other-week, monthly, or even longer between sessions. Some people like to continue seeing me regularly for years while others like to simply check in periodically for wellness visits, to help them remain focused. Most importantly, I will work with you to determine what best suits your needs, while allowing you to make the progress forward you most want.

Do you take insurance?

The great majority of patients I see at Proliance Center have insurance, but insurance companies don’t pay me directly. Instead, you will be provided with a bill for services, which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. However, it is important to keep in mind that I am an out of network provider and that insurance may not cover this extremely high quality level of care. The services at Proliance Center usually include special quality care with an attentive administrative staff and more time with the doctor or myself than in network providers can give you. Additionally, for privacy reasons, many people choose not to use their insurance to pay for mental health services. Whatever your choice, I am always happy to work with each person’s situation in order to best meet their needs.

If I don’t have insurance is a sliding scale available for payment?

Yes, for those who are flexible with the hours they are willing to come in, I can offer accommodations for financial hardship.
